About
Who I am and how I work

I’m Ryan, and RYMODE is how I do it.
This channel is me facing uncomfortable truths about myself and about the world, and working out how to live with them once I’ve seen them. A lot of it is stuff men our age were never taught, or never made aware of, in school. I’m a man, so that’s my angle, but it isn’t only for men.
Think of it as me lending you my goggles. Once you’ve seen some of this, you can’t unsee it. I don’t claim to have the whole problem figured out, or the answer to it. This is just how it looks to me, and what I’m doing about it.
What this is
- Body
- Food, training, walking and sleep, built into routines that hold when willpower doesn’t.
- Mind
- Where your attention goes, who you believe you are, and protecting momentum when a day goes wrong.
- Purpose
- What you’re here to build, instead of letting someone else decide it.
- People
- Friendships that thin out, family that changes shape, and showing up for both.
- Tools
- Using AI and new tech to stay capable, instead of sitting the shift out.
How I work
- I test things on myself and tell you what happened, including what didn’t work.
- I say where the evidence is strong, where it’s weak, and where it’s just me.
- I change my mind when the evidence changes.
What this isn’t
Not medical advice. Not a guru with everything figured out. Not motivation for its own sake. One man, doing the work, passing on the lessons.
In April 2026 I weighed 277 lb. The weight was the obvious thing I’d let slide. It wasn’t the only thing. This is where I pass on what I’m learning as I rebuild: the body first, then everything else.
Down 48 lb since April 2026. Locked back in at 48.
